Projects relating to Offshore Oil & Gas Production

Okeanos has been involved in many leased FPSO projects (42 up to Q4 2019) and deepwater drilling units (17 to Q4 2019). As such Okeanos has accumulated a wealth of experience on the challenges and risks involved with major conversion or construction projects and new-build projects. 

 

In several cases, Okeanos - acting as the financier’s Technical Advisor – has ensured adequate redundancy was included in the design phase by participating hands-on during design reviews. Also, through active participation during regular progress and budget reviews Okeanos have identified various potential delays and / or cost overruns on a timely basis whilst providing practical solutions for mitigations at the same time.

 

Okeanos has also been instrumental in the arrest and subsequent managing and crewing of vessels on behalf of the mortgagee in possession under IMO legislation.

 

Environmental impact assessment reviews performed by Okeanos focus on the equipment and associated redundancy selected in the design phase and also on the operating procedures to minimise emissions and discharges.
